How does this watch compare to the Vanguard? I quite like the easy to read watch face but I have no knowledge with the Sellita SW 200 automatic movement. This wouldn't happen to have luminescent hands and numbers would it?

DanielSteinOverall, the Vanguard and Classic are very similar in all aspects. The price is slightly lower for the Classic because you don't get the 2 additional straps and the larger display case. The ETA 2892 and SW 200 movements are exactly similar in terms of hand winding compatibility, hacking ability and amplitude. The SW 200 is slightly more decorated, but ETA is a more widely recognized name.
The case size and shape are extremely similar. The Classic does not have lume because it is styled to be a slightly dressier piece. The case is completely polished on the Classic, while there is a brushed stripe on the body of the Vanguard. The numerals and block markers would be the biggest differences in aesthetic.
Other things: I find it easier to wind the Classic because the crown is a bit thicker, but the action is quieter on the Vanguard.

DanielSteinFor some reason, I only compared the white dial version to the Vanguard. But you're correct, the black dialed version is the 3rd option in this drop.

ChristopherJSo am I correct to say that the black dial version does have lume? Sorry I didn't get a confirmation. Lastly, would you please be able to find out what the lowest drop price was for the Vanguard? So it gives me an idea of how much I'd be saving if I did go ahead with this drop :) tia.

DanielSteinYes, the black dial version does have lumed numerals and hands. The Vanguard's lowest price was $540.

ChristopherJOK, after some independent research (and calling the only US distributor), I can say two things: 1. The brand appears to be legitimately swiss-made; the distributor chalked it up to them being a smaller company who has a more conservative distribution market 2. $840 is an absolutely /insanely low/ price for the skeleton watch. The US distributor, which has to custom order them to begin with, is charged ~$1400 to buy them from Davosa proper, which they mark up to $2000ish. I'm sure there's less of a markup on the non-skeleton versions, but still.
However, the distributor did have different technical specifications from what is listed on the Massdrop page. For example, he said the Skeleton's movements were ETA 2824 E ("E" apparently short for "Elabore," i.e., prettier and more jewel-encrusted), not SW 200. @Tyler.H or @ChristopherJ -- could you clarify which is correct?
EDIT: Going off of Davosa's (somewhat cryptically translated) website, I think all of the models are SW 200 except for the Skeleton, which is 2824. I'd still like confirmation if possible, though!

tmesisYep, we work with the exclusive US distributor of Davosa.
As noted in our details section, all models (excluding the Skeleton) utilize the Sellita SW 200 movement. The Skeleton utilizes a modified ETA 2824 elabore grade movement. Because it's modified, it's called the DAV 2824 (short for Davosa). I don't have the full detail of what exactly was modified, but from what I can see, decorations such as perlage and engravings were added. Also, some of the bridges may have been further skeletonized.
If you want to see more high-res images of the Skeleton, check out the gallery on Davosa's website: http://www.davosa.com/index.php?id=34&cid=3&fid=2&wid=288&L=1
