For the record, this skeleton watch is sexy. Looks even better in person, imo.

Here're some pictures (and a 240fps video of the mechanism!), followed by my overall thoughts: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B43UjjxwFcE2fk1KaTR0M0U1b1VfUnp6M3pSRWh3WUdaUklWTk1OdmJyMXk3bGxGOVZhSzA&usp=sharing
My not-great phone pics do not do this watch much justice. Further note: the reason why the inside of the leather band is so discolored is *not* because it came that way, but instead I forgot I was wearing a watch and taking it in the shower, do'h. (That said, I can confirm firsthand that the watch is waterproof.)
OK, now to my completely subjective thoughts: the watch blends "intricate and cool" with "put together and professional." If you like the (less formal, more cool) skeleton style, great. If you want something classic, go for the white/parchment models. The watch face is a dream to me; it has no unnecessary dials or knobs, a thin bezel, and a simple "font" and hands... but unlike almost every other watch that matches this description, it isn't: a) cheap looking or b) several thousand dollars out of my price range. Seriously, this watch is a steal for the build quality and being swiss-made.
So... in all, it's an amazing value for the money, but don't let that force your hand: if you don't like the design, I say: don't settle. There are thousands upon thousands of other watches out there, and dozens of great looking watches that cycle through Massdrop. Shop around! If you see one you like, maybe start a vote for it here on MD; maybe you can share your find and save while you're at it...
Hope this will be useful to some in the Massdrop community! Feel free to ask me any questions—I've only had the watch for a month, but I'd love to be of help where I can :)

tmesisSweet. Very pretty, thanks for the photos and the vid. I was very very tempted by the skeleton (as well as the standard Portuguese homage) but just too pricey for me at this stage even with the Massdrop deals. Gotta start off smaller first, hence the other 4 I've recently bought (Seiko Alpinist, Seagull M17, Orient Producer and Orient Bambino). We'll get there eventually.
