LDH44No the magni2 is a headphone amp, there is no speaker outs . the magni2 uber has RCA outs but these are passive speakers, so you will still need another amp

Striker579My bad, yeah I've got the Magni2 Uber. So, help me understand here. I get headphones not speakers.
Even though the Magni2U is an amp and has RCA outs, it cannot power these speakers? They need a dedicated or stronger amp?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm finally starting to look into speakers for my home setup since I'll be going to graduate school in my hometown for the next couple of years.

LDH44These Daytons are passive speakers having 5-way binding posts in the back to receive speaker wires not RCAs. If you have or get active speakers, which means they have an amp built in then they would have a RCA input in the back and you could go direct to them. For you to be able to use these Daytons you will need something with a speaker amp like the SMSL SA-160 currently on drop. If you look at the pictures you will see it has RCA inputs and speaker wire outputs which would run to the Daytons.
For clarification something like the Magni2 uber will output 2 watts at 16 ohms from the headphone amp, this is a good amount for headphones. The SMSL SA-160 will output 80 watts to each speaker at 4 ohms. ( I would not personally expect any quality sound above 40 watts each) but for conversation purposes you can see there is a large power difference between headphones and speakers and that is why the power delivered over the RCAs will not be enough in most cases.
