Just to clarify, these are actually just esthetic vinyl stickers in a carbon fiber pattern? Not actual carbon fiber skin/case of any meaningful protection? if that's the case, someone took some serious creative liberties with the title...

LxJLthr"Carbon Fiber Smartphone Skins" seems like an apt description to me.

rhenomHow so? Unless there is actual carbon fiber involved in manufacturing of this product, it is misleading. I.E. Equivalent of advertising laminate flooring as real wood. But whatever floats your boat :)

LxJLthrIt's called using 1 micron of common sense. They don't make "real" carbon fiber stickers to attach to your phone and if they did they would cost a hell of a lot more than $15 for a 3 pack.
If you don't already know that whenever someone refers to a smartphone "skin" that they are talking about a vinyl sticker, try taking two seconds to read that bloody description which reads: "Constructed from high-grade authentic 3M vinyl"
So yes, you are absolutely right, if you are a complete idiot, I can see how you might be confused. The fact that I even need to explain this makes me sad.

rhenomSo I am an idiot for not automatically assuming things and wanting them to be properly titled without the constant paranoia of fine print disclosures? LMAO! Then I guess I am the biggest pillock you have ever met, mate :D
At some point or other, wide spread non-military/space consumer application of any material or product was unheard off. Technology constantly marches forward. What is wrong with getting excited that may be someone found economic way to create this type of product (only to be disappointed by the fine print)?
Or may be you should take two seconds to have bloody higher standards? Alas just like with majority of "juices" found on American store shelves, this contains 0% titled product and 100% something else =P

LxJLthrJust to let you know if you're still curious, I own a dbrand "carbon fiber" computer skin and though they are indeed not actual carbon fiber, they are very well textured vinyl that look and feel like carbon fiber. It is actually smoother and more tactile than the real deal, making it probably better for a phone skin. In any case, if you like the look before being told if it's real or not, you probably won't be disappointed.
