Just so everyone knows, this unit does NOT have a 3-band parametric EQ. It is not even a single-band parametric. At best, it's a single band of quasi-parametric EQ (1.5 octaves fixed) with a low shelf at 80Hz and a high shelf at 12KHz, as per the manual.

SyzygyI have spoken with the manufacturer, as well as double-checked their website and the manual. It clear states on their site and in the manual that this is indeed a Parametric EQ. I have used this product myself regularly for the better part of 15 years, for recording and even as bass preamp in live performances. It is a parametric and the frequency response is amazing. I could rave about the clarity of signal reproduction, low signal to noise ratio and so forth. However, I will state once more that it is a parametric, and once I get something in writing from DBX I will gladly share it with the community.
Once again, thank you for being a part of Massdrop.

SeanReidSyzygy is making a factual, well-supported claim, and your response does not address this claim at all. You rely on marketing material (do I really have spell out why that's not good support?) and then simply state (twice), but give no evidence or support, that "it is a parametric." You have, in essence, told us all to just trust you and take your word for it. Sorry, you haven't earned that, and then there's the inherent conflict of interest angle. You are representing a business who is asking for our money, so, no, I won't simply trust you and take your word for it. I'm sorry if that offends you; it would be a more lovely world if that's how commerce actually worked, but it's not, and it doesn't. I will state once more, you have provided no meaningful evidence to refute or even address Syzygy's claim, however you did manage to come off as more than a little condescending.
