Is this worth it? I've always wanted a trit watch and after buying my dad a Luminox Blackout I've had an itch ... This looks like an almost exact clone of the colormark series ... I've been looking at Nite watches across the pond, but the cost is prohibitive.

KilsimivKilsimiv, I'm happy to share my recent experience purchasing a watch with tritium markers after extensive research on this brand and the other brands you mentioned. My short answer to your question is no. The reason I do not recommend this watch is (and pardon me for assuming) because you want a "trit watch," I assume you want a watch that has decent lume. If you are researching tritium watches, and specifically Nite watches, see their page on T-25 vs T-100, then look closely at the face of this watch, and you will see that this one carries the designation of T-25, which basically means that the sum of the gas tubes in a T-25 watch is required to carry 25 or less mCi of radiation content. (vs. 100mCi). Less radiation content, less reaction to the photoluminescent coating inside the tube, translates (in most cases) to less illumination. Go back a few comments and you'll see one that basically says "I can barely see it". I have seen positive reviews on DeepBlue's T-100 watches, and have been checking back here often to see if they'll offer one of those.
Another important note, and it's a shame most companies do this, but never trust pictures of tritium watches. Everyone who advertises a tritium watch either uses a UV light, enhanced graphic rendering, or tweaks the camera settings to make the tubes appear brighter than how they appear to the human eye in reality, which can be disappointing, because we're not owls. It's also concerning if you are considering a purchase from an "all sales final" type of outfit. This is the second time I have seen this watch appear on massdrop in the span of a month or two, which suggests they might have old inventory to move. The watch may be "new", but how long did it sit in a warehouse? (time is ticking on the tritium's half-life!)
The watch I purchased in June was a T-100 by the brand Armourlite. I have owned two T-25 watches in the past, and the current one blows them away. I also discovered in my research that they manufacture watches often, and in smaller quantities to ensure that their inventory doesn't sit on shelves, ensuring that customers won't receive a watch with years of the tritium's half-life burned up. They also sell here on massdrop, and are active in the comment section if people have questions. (I haven't seen any comments from Deep Blue reps in the two times that I've seen this same watch appear here, unless I missed it.) I appreciate the level of customer service that ArmourLite provides, and would highly recommend them if you are looking for a decent watch with good tritium illumination. I don't work for them or know anybody from the company, I'm just a fan and think they make a great watch.

MescolitoYes, thanks I know about the Tritium rating system and the marketing exaggerations used by manufacturers. I know black/UV lights/photoshop are used for the images. I prefer the T-25 to the T100. I'm not looking for a watch to blind me when I look at it. I'm looking for lume that doesn't need to be charged by light. I'm not going to use it for diving. I've kept my eye on ArmourLite. I'll check them out, thanks!

MescolitoEven though I'm not in the market for such a watch, that is a very thorough summary of tritium lume, thanks. Always wanted to try one due to the constant illumination but a bit put off by the half-life. Yeah you can replace the tubes, but it's another thing to fuss about.
Went with a pilot with C3 superluminova instead, and it's perfect for my needs. Have it on your wrist during the day and it's good for the night. Of course it fades, but it's a trade-off. Torch-like fading brightness vs dimmer consistent brightness.
