Like a submarine (and like its name implies), the Deep Blue Depthmaster is stout, heavy, and capable of withstanding incredible depths. It features a sapphire crystal, a large stainless steel case, and a thick stainless steel band to match—making it tough enough to withstand depths of an astounding 10,000 feet. Getting into the guts of the watch, it’s fitted with Miyota 9015 24-jewel movement, which vibrates 28,800 times per hour and has a power reserve of 42 hours. At 10 o’clock is a helium escape valve for releasing pressure during prolonged periods under water.
Note: At checkout choose from the following options: black dial (DM3K2BLACK), blue dial (DM3K2BLUE), green dial (DM3K2GRN), orange dial (DM3K2ORG), and gray dial (DM3K2GREY). Limited quantities are available of each model.
Aesthetically, the Deep Blue Depthmaster is hard to miss. It’s got chunky indexes that pair with large sword-shaped hands, offering unmistakable clarity. The hands and markers are coated with bright luminescent coating, to boot. Also notable is the seconds and minute hands, each of which is outlined in bright orange to make them even easier to see, still. A window at 3 o’clock keeps track of the date, while a unidirectional bezel—also covered in sapphire—helps keep track of elapsed time on a dive. The bezel has grooved cut-outs if you need to grab it while wearing gloves.
