Just as an FYI since people have been asking and commenting on the cable connector when we designed these that was a big part of the discussion. What I was told is that the issue with the connector cutting in and out is not the jack itself but the coating that was on the cable end. If you take a fine grit sandpaper or even a Brillo pad you can remove the coating and won't have the issue any more. The cables provided with the Blue does NOT have this coating on it. It does not, however, solve the jack itself but Fostex would not change it for us on this run. Maybe if we do something else we can do that.

tdkocenIf what @Evshrug is true, I appreciate you monitoring this forum, sir. I have all the headphones that I need (1 pair open [for THAT resonant sound stage], 1 pair closed [to prevent disturbing my spouse]). Now, what I *want* is to experience planar magnetic’s (hopeful) base. A wall of sound, as it were. BTW, my HD6xx uses prpprietary plug-ins, so as long as the Fostex wiring resists premature shorting-out, I’m cool with it.
