Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Sheepskin- As it is a less porous material, there will be more isolation, and therefore the perception of more low frequency response. Fenestrated Sheepskin- With the cut holes, there is less isolation than sheepskin, HOWEVER the fenestration on the inner ring reduces reflections. Hybrid- this is a little of the best of all worlds. With the sheepskin exterior you have pretty good isolation, The velour is probably the MOST comfortable on the face of the ears, and the fenestration inside helps with the reflections. Velour- Many open back headphones have velour pads, as there is not much concern of bleed or loss of sound as the backs of the headphones are open to begin with. This will remain close to the original sound signature.
For those of you who own Dekoni pads for other headphones, you know we are equally focused on comfort and sound, and you should expect no less from this new drop.
