You know I hate to say it, but as difficult as these are to find, claiming an MSRP of $469.99 is ludicrous. It was always $350, and available for $250. <br /><br />At $330 its fair considering they are difficult to come by.

WiR3DAmazon has it for sale for 469.99. Probably just took the price off there.<br /><br />Trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on these or wait and get a pair of HD650's

JeradHD650 if you're not OCD about bass and have the extra cash to get a powerful tube amp to drive them. I exclude solid state amps because they don't do the HD650 justice imo. Otherwise get the Denon D2000.

JeradI have both the Denon D5000's (which I got from the previous Massdrop) and the HD 650's (which I have owned since late last year).<br /><br />If it was my money, I would go with the HD 650's hands down. The D5000's are good, but the 650's are mutha blubbin great. It is my personal recommendation in the mid fi range of headphones (and I have owned and tried a bunch).<br /><br />Here is a picture of mine if you need further convincing.

JeradIf you have an Aune T1 - get the HD650, that is really a great pairing (have it at home). <br />It really does depend on personal preference, and if your a more V shaped person go Denon, if mids are more important go Senn. <br /><br />Personally I'm in love with my Denons, they are so romantic in the right setup, unbeatable for transporting you away to your own world, but the Senns are also fantastic, but in a different way, they do amaze you, but they don't place you in your own world, they put you in the performers world. Sorry if this is all cracky smokey but its the best way to describe it.

The issue though is I have had the D2000 and own the D7000<br />(and HD650, AKG k242HD, AKG K550, V-Moda M100)<br />But I never owned the D5000, the D5000 was slated as the smoothest of the lot, and the benefit is the added romance, like using a tube, the cost is a slight loss of micro-detail, especially with unsuitable amping. <br /><br />With the right amp, the HD650 is fantastic, and you don't even need to drop a lot anymore, the Aune does a fantastic job, and the micro detail on the HD650 is fantastic. It is a great headphone. But call it romance, nothing makes me smile more then putting on my D7000. <br /><br />However this is personal preference, and the Denons were always an oddball because of the colouration, so it definitely isn't suited to everyone.

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?
Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
