Hi All, There's no beating around the bush; this is a crappy situation. I can give you a little more visibility into what happened as I've been in touch with our vendor but unfortunately it won't change the outcome. The manufacturer input the wrong item number in their system when we first checked on the availability. When they shipped the second half of the order, it was for a completely different item which is why it resulted in a backorder. The 4-6 week time frame they gave us is due to the fact that they have to track down all the fabrics and then cut them for the boxes. It's been our experience with fabric orders that the time frame they give us is best case scenario and more often then not, it's usually another 2-3 weeks. Based on that and knowing that members have already been waiting we decided to cancel the orders so we didn't have to come back with more bad news. I want to make sure we don't disappoint twice.
I realize this stinks and we will do our best to make sure it doesn't happen again. As Peter stated if you have any additional questions or concerns please reach out here or you may contact support.
