What about guests sitting off-center? Voices on-screen will always sound as though they are coming from one of the speakers - a very unnatural experience.
Conclusion: For movies and multi-channel music, center-channel speakers are preferable (or required) and this console is not for me. I'll leave it to others to enjoy the warm glow of the 'fire'.
