I got to see these cases in person at the Dallas Pen Show about 10 days ago. There are indeed separators between the pens, and they're not fixed in place at both ends, so a skinny pen's space will squish in a bit to make room for a bigger pen next to it. The interior appeared to be the raw side of the leather, if I remember correctly, but now that I read the description more closely, it says the cases have a nylon lining. I wish I'd thought to take good detailed photos. I am still tempted to invest in one even though I own WAY more than four pens.
