Jeez. I joined the drop for my Rustico webbie cover 3 days before joining this drop, and the webbie cover got shipped first--a custom item. What's the holdup getting this shipped out? I always think I'm prepared for the wait until it just keeps going ... and going ... and going.

In case anyone missed the email, our category leader sent a note saying that Massdrop has a call with the vendor this morning to sort out delivery to the MD warehouse, and that we should be hearing something by tomorrow.

Indeed it does indicate it should post - "The Diplomat logo also appears on the finial atop the pen’s cap, which is made from brass and offers a secure and satisfying click when closed or posted, and is fitted with an internal plastic sleeve to protect the barrel’s finish. " I don't post mine, so I don't know how much of an annoyance it would be if one does, but can not. I was interested in the Traveller because I really liked the Magnum soft touch that I got through Massdrop. Loved the pen and the nib - plenty smooth and forgiving... My hands however couldn't hang on to it.. I was worried this one might give me a similar problem..... I hope folks will take time to share their feedback when they get their Travellers :)

Out of curiosity, does anyone already own the Cornflower matte version of this pen? How close is it to the color in these pictures? Darker? Lighter?

Jeez, the least you could do, MassDrop, is tell us on the description page that EVERY SINGLE finish except steel-on-steel costs extra!

Is the cap meant to be posted? I've read some reviews that they were able to post the cap of the pen, while others say they couldn't. I tried posting mine but the cap can't be secured. I'm worried if I put some pressure into the cap I might void the warranty. Can anybody shed some light into this? Thanks!

Irina77789Dang it. I wish MD would get their descriptions straight. They say it posts with a satisfying click, but everything else i'm reading on the web says this cap can't be posted (including fountain pen network). If this pen arrives and can't be posted, I'm going to be sorely disappointed, because I like to post my pens. Wouldn't have joined the drop had i known.

Actually, the "satisfying click" happens when I cap the pen. Not when posting.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Diplomat Traveller Fountain Pen and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 8/22.

I prefer the size (barrel and nib) of the Esteem, which is my go-to daily driver, but I joined this drop to give this as a gift to a friend who likes slimmer pens because I absolutely love Diplomat's nibs - super smooth and a bit more flex than is normal for stainless steel even on the smaller ones. I think it's hard to find a better value in this price range, can't say enough good things about this brand and company.
