From the local cinema to your neighbor’s garage, 3D technology is taking the world by storm, and it's super handy to be able to print your own sea vessel, provided it fits in a 9" by" 12" by 7" build volume. This printer from DIY Tech Shop is easy to build, has an open design, and one of the largest build volumes of any RepRap 3D printer. The thing that sets RepRap printers apart from all commercial printers is that they are constructed primarily with parts printed by other RepRap printers. That means that if you have one RepRap, you can create more, which will certainly make you popular with your friends with an interest in 3D printers. Being able to print your own parts means that you don't have to deal with your technology being obsolete, since every aspect of this printer is upgrade-able and replaceable.
This is not a full 3D printer!
This kit is just for the hardware portion of this drop, you will need to supply your own Stepper Motors, RAMPS Kit, Hotend, and Power Supply.

Building off the open source technology started by the self-replicating RepRap, the i3xl kit comes with all of the primary parts you need to build a printer that can construct or repair itself. With a Philips screwdriver, crescent wrench, wire strippers, and a soldering iron, you can assemble the frame and hook up all of the electronics in only a few hours of assembly. To cover the hot end and heated bed, you’ll need D-sub wire crimpers and kapton tape. Though it may seem daunting, the DIY Tech Shop Prusa 3D Printer can be assembled in a few hours using their thorough PDF instructions.
After acquiring the rest of the parts for your kit, you’ll be all ready to print statuettes, product models, and anything else you can imagine. If some part of the machine still troubles you, almost everything in the kit is upgrade-able, giving you endless options for individualizing your 3D printer. If you think you can improve on the design, please do, and post your pictures in the discussion thread. This printer gives you the opportunity to add to the community of 3D printing in a very real and meaningful way.
