Has anyone received a defective battery? I have a non-working battery that wont' charge, and doesn't light up any indicator lights. I received my shipment yesterday, charged the battery overnight, and still no indicator lights on and off the charger. I have contacted their customer support, but I haven't gotten any response from them. It's been a little over 12 hours since I contacted them.
I've contacted DJI and they have terrible customer service. For what is clearly a factory defect, they want me to jump through hoops before they will even consider talking to me about a replacement. They want me to contact Massdrop to remedy the situation, even though it's clearly a Factory Defect. I'm hoping I didn't make a big mistake with spending this kind of money on a faulty product. Save me Massdrop!

Hey i got the same problem i just got the drone last night have spent the whole morning trying to fix this problem their is no way to find the vendor that i got it of we get no invoice from the vendor. i am just about to go by a new battery so i can flu the f*****g thing. customer service for both MassDrop and DJI is ridiculously bad. Was wondering if you found a fix of figured it out a way get a new one?

So customer service is quite slow on both ends, but the best way to get a hold of DJI is via email. Their chat is horrendous, and I've heard worse about their phone service. Massdrop took some time as well to contact me, but by that time DJI had contacted me and we started the RMA process for the battery. You will have to pay for shipping the battery to DJI, but they will ship it back to you after the repair. Good luck!

Thanks again for joining this drop! Shortly after the drop ended, we submitted the group's order with the vendor for the DJI Inspire 1 Drone. The vendor informed us that the bulk order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive by 6/10.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 6/13.

Research I've conducted show that if this is in fact V1, the differences are the motors, easy to remove prop design, and camera mount. Here is the feedback I've also discovered about these changes, and the consensus is that they are minimal. 1. The motors are better, and allow for more agility and a bit more power, but this is because the newer mount and the Pro camera is heavier. 2. The props are totally a preference thing. Some complained about them, so they redesigned them. 3. The new mount is heavier, but it can be purchased separately and installed on the Version 1 with a 2-3 minute flight reduction time due to the weight and not having the newer motors.
With the price drop you are saving about 400 dollars retail when it's all said and done. I think that's a pretty good deal if you are looking for a deal.
A note about the pro camera - I've read some reviews, and watched some videos comparing the original 4k camera and the pro camera, and it seems that many people are complaining about the quality of the pro camera. The specs are better on the camera, but the actual image coming out is muddy (meaning not clear). Look into it yourself, and see what your thoughts are. I'm excited to get this guy in my hands to see what I can do with it.
Btw if this isn't v2 the offer on dji's site is better 1999 shipped. Do not buy v1. V2 motors and propellers are 100% better.
pezzist
photos show a V1, could be an outdated photo, but needs to be addressed
Really wish there was a pro or raw option and I would be all over this super depressed. Please offer raw pro next drop.
What does the V1 not have that the V2 has?
andyschwartz
The V2 has rubber feet extensions and slightly different motors, but from everything I've read you can't tell any difference in flight.
anakin04
agility of craft is higher on v2 is the consensus on the web. also the mount for the camera is lower quality and not able to change to the X camera series due to the difference in mounts [maybe you can if you buy the replacement mount for camera but i'm not sure]
does it ship to the UK?
Done nth, it not shipping to my country
Is this the Inspire 1 V2.0? Or is it the first version? Does it come with 2 remotes or is that the Pro/Raw model?
if only it ships overseas.........
can this be shipped to new zealand?
I've heard that with drops you can't really return a product if something goes wrong. I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about how DJI might handle a situation like this in terms of customer service if something were to go wrong.
ericlinesdesign
You still have a regular warranty just like if you were to buy it from any other supplier. So you'd just deal with DJI.
Is it possible to get the pro version?
how far of a drop can this handel before it breaks, bescuse I use it in very windy places and have had a good number of these type of things flip and crash
LordMoose9
There are too many variables to say "it will break at X height". How much damage mainly depends on the velocity, and where the ground hits the drone.
What you can control is whether or not you fly. Even though obviously you shouldn't fly in extreme wind, flying in 20 mph winds and under should be ok with something like this. Maybe more, but I'm not gonna be the one to test it. Fortunately, the Inspire 1 is a fairly heavy drone, (compared to most, like the Phantom 3 or 4) So it fares really well in the wind. Not to mention since this uses GPS, it will compensate for wind.
Massdrop, what are the model numbers for the these products aircraft, gimbal, and controller. Thanks!

Hello Everyone, We have extended this drop through Monday. I hope we can get a few more members to join so we can hit the lowest drop point! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Was hoping for it would be something substantial, that is not much of a drop in anyway.
MiniPanda
@hayskeys @ToySldr @MiniPanda Hello Everyone, competition was a little close on this drop so I am Happy to announce that we were able to provide a better discount on this model. Thanks Everyone!
Damn, not a good discount at all. Was looking forward to this one.
Not much of a discount. . . It's already available for less on B&H ($2690)
Does the Pro or RAW versions come with the extra remote?
Is this coming back any time soon? I am thinking about getting one, but the sale price seems very high, so I am eagerly awaiting a drop.

Its back!

When is this coming back????
By the way, I just bought one and have to say the 2nd remote isn't necessarily needed, since the software allows you to touch the screen and pan the camera very smoothly. In fact its almost a better idea to do it that way because that way the pilot focuses on flying while the camera operator holds the iPad or tablet device and pans, so the pilot isn't distracted by feeling a need to keep looking at the screen. It works quite well, so save the money and put it towards more batteries, or a decent case.
