So this means you would have to pay $1400 here, and buy the $139 care refresh package, or you could just buy from DJI with the included manufacturers warranty? Doesn't seem like a deal.

Golfer.OliverI read it as including the 1-year manufactures warranty. I may be wrong, but it looks like it’s the same set up as you’d get from DJI, and they just offer the option to purchase DJI care.

ApolloDomDJI Care is mainly for crash protection. Not warranty on parts and workmanship, which is covered under the manufactures warranty. With DJI Care, you can crash twice within a year and for a small deductible, they’ll replace your drone up to two times within 12 months. This drone is very easy to fly for the novice, while left in beginner mode and as long as the obstacle avoidance is on. Turn off the OAS and set it to sport mode and it is very easy to crash. If this is anyone’s first drone, I highly recommend the DJI Care. I bought a toy drone to learn to fly this beast. OK, full disclosure, I’m on my second toy drone because of the crashing of the first one, a bazillion times.
