Just wondering why this sharpener is showed along the spyderco native of S35VN which is bad to sharpen on DMT because it's chipping much of that corse DMT plate

I own a pair of the full-sized, two-sided DMT stones, and can say that they work very well. A little skill is required in managing the angles, but this is true of any stone type solution. The abrasives remove material in a very predictable, usable fashion, and hold up well over time. After a small learning curve, I'm able to use my stones to quickly and reliably achieve very sharp edges on my knives and tools. I'm considering picking up this folding stone just for portability's sake. It would be really nice to have this in my pack so that I could touch up an edge while in the field.
