I don't understand the whole "Credit Card" part, but these will be great to keep in my bag. Never know when you need to touch up and edge or lap something... ehh...
I have a large DMT Extra Coarse plate for lapping my water stones and rough free hand work. If these cards are the same quality, it is a good product.
The point to Massdrop is missed on most people especially the pollsters.
It's all about the exclusive "Massdrop Made" or "Community Made" drops. If it's just a general mass produced item get it from Amazon/Alli/etc it's about the custom made keyboards/hi-fi gear/headphones/knives that are made just for Massdrop. That's the magic.
RdabestSorta apples to oranges. Arkansas should use oil. Diamond you can use dry or water. Depending on the one you use it will most likely sharpen faster. But the cost is you typically do not get as nice an edge. These are made more for field use. You can get really nice DMTs for the bench so what I just said really does not apply for those. There are so many products out there you really have to research what you want it for. I use mostly Japanese man made water stones for what it's worth.
AcairnsAmazon says .3 ounces. I'd guess that's per card, but I don't know.
If that's correct, that's about the same as carrying ~$1.25-$1.50 in quarters. (i.e. About 5 quarters)
neat product but available on amazon prime for just a few bucks more. my guess is with shipping the mass drop price will exceed the amazon prime price.
BushCraft_BeatsWell it is not this model but serves the same function. https://www.dmtonlinestore.com/Product.aspx?ProductId=41 In fine (Red). Only used it to touch up on steals before the new super stainless. Going to have to see how well it holds up to those As I have only been adding to my collection recently. Sorry to answer your question most of my knives were high carbon or old stainless and this stone has served well.
