How does this compare to the British Belt Company Miller belt guys?

deaman312My understanding is that the DMO belts are significantly beefier and a bit wider, thus, less formal (rather for jeans than a suit) in comparison to the BB Co. Miller. To be clear: I do not own either of the ones you ask for. I do own a DMO Harness Belt, and I have looked at the BB Co. Miller belt when it was available on MD. I can update this once I have both ;)

namelessThe BB Co. belt is supposedly 1.18 inches. DMO is 1.25 inches or 1.5 inches. So possibly not that much wider.
It does look a little less formal though - whereas the BB Co. belt looks like it can be used either way. What do you think?
How is the quality of the DMO Harness belt btw?

deaman312The difference between 1.18 and 1.5 is definitely noticeable, already because many suit pants will not (or not easily) accommodate 1.5 inch belts. The 1.25 inch version should fit suit pants, however it might appear and/or feel somewhat sturdy, especially if you wear a rather skinny style suit. This is pure speculation though. In my opinion the BB belt clearly caters to more formal occasions with its thinner leather construction and stitching, which does not necessarily mean that the 1.25 inch DMO would not work.
I made a separate post about the harness belt.
