I purchased on the last drop and have had this for a couple of weeks now. This is an awesome knife, and easily the equal of my Shun knives. Great feel in the hand, very versatile, and crazy sharp! I would definitely buy another, and will look at other knives in the Dragon/Yaxell line.
JimkrellThank you for taking the time to write this.

Deaomega1214Hey buddy. Think you can find me a nice knife case for this one blade?
I looked at chef rolls but I only use this one knife and don't need something so big.
A box, a sleeve, a wrap or a case would work. I searched online but didn't find much and most of them looked cheap and of low quality.
Thank you. I sincerely appreciate any help with this. I'll need 2 of them since I bought another of your Fusion. ;)
BrainFlushI would check out the MTM gun cases on Amazon. There are several that I think could work.

Deaomega1214You already sell these bamboo magnetic sheathes for your other Dragon BD1N knives: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/apogee-dragon-fire-yaxell-kitchen-knives
Why don't you offer it for the Dragon Fusion? Is the shape too awkward?

ronCYADamn, did not know that. And yet I also want to be able to carry it around completely encased without worry of any damage. But I can live with just a sheath for now.
@Deaomega1214 I looked at the MTM cases and also at Pelican, I can't find anything to cover all 12"... :(

BrainFlushDid your two knives not come with this case? The mould is shaped to hold the Dragon Fusion quite firmly with little to no jiggling around and the case completely encases the knife. By "carry it around" I can only assume you mean when transporting it, which this case would be more than enough for. Surely no one would use such a great kitchen knife as an 'every day carry' blade! If you're after some kind of hip holster I gotta ask— what kind of wild west chaos occurs in your kitchen? :P
If you didn't receive them you should definitely contact Massdrop and see what can be arranged.

ronCYAOh bro. You are right. They come in a great temporary case. But come on. I'm BrainFlush. I live a wild style free for all life. My kitchen is a madhouse circus. I want both a travel case and a hip or shoulder mount. Easy access type of thing. I'll go see my friends next week that can custom make a sheath for me. I figured I would ask before hand. I'm not joking either. :D
ronCYAYou are correct. The Fusion is its own shape. Also please notice the spine of the fusion is curved, so the magnets would have a hard time working. I guess I'll just have to start pondering a solution here.

BrainFlushAh so this was your kitchen? Haha. But I get you— some things just don't feel right unless they feel right!

Deaomega1214No that makes complete sense, I can imagine it's an entirely different kettle of fish. Curved katana style swords use a wedge around the blade collar to secure a sheath— perhaps some type of silicon grommet for the Fusion sheath? Or you could utilise the flat point of the blade with 3 magnets like this?:

That way you wouldn't need to accommodate for the curved spine, as the top 2 magnets form a straight line.
ronCYAThank you for the suggestions. It helps the pondering. 👍

Deaomega1214Do you know why it is impossible to find these knives anywhere now? Any idea when you will have more anywhere?
severedtiesThe Fusion was given the honor of being the number 1 knife for 2017 on the YouTube channel burrfection. This caused a run on this particular Knife. Keep watching CUTLERY and Moore, they have some. We have more also coming in the next couple weeks, but you won’t see any for a while on Massdrop.
