Agree on getting a DE89, or a Maggard. Is there a way to see the poll for this? Surprised it would win. If you are spending that much, might as well spend a bit more and get stainless steel.

StormTrooperAgreed. I owned a DE89 from JD as my first razor, it served well for the price. For 70 bucks or so, I recommend getting a Weber razor instead. I love mine. Stainless steel, absurdly close shave, and may just be my permanent choice... until that Feather DE comes here again.

I wouldn't get this when you can get an Edwin Jagger DE89 series for around $30.00 on Amazon.
This Dreadnaught razor is simply a rebranded Edwin Jagger.

Why get this when you can get an unbranded equivalent/lookalike for two dollars on Amazon? Genuine question. http://amzn.to/16hHRDW

JoschIt is good as a starter razer. It is super light weight(aluminum I think?) and unbalanced. It is nice to have weight when using these as you aren't supposed to apply any pressure. I'd go with the DE89 others have mentioned if you don't want to spend an insane ammount.

Looks just like my Merkur. :p Which cost me significantly less than 70 dollars.
