I didn't know about this "secret" ingredient until I read it here, but I saw no difference after using it for a few months. Also, since I recently started shaving with a straight razor and started shaving everyday instead of each 3-5 days, now my beard grows much faster, but it's probably only because I shave it everyday. I am pretty sure the soap is just a soap in the end :)

I was interested in picking up this kit until I read that it contains a 'mystery ingredient' called decelerine. What it supposedly does is "targets its action in hair follicle cells and weakens new hair formation, gradually decreasing hair density and length". I found the information at http://www.dermoday.com/dosyalar/1234888016.pdf Google it for yourself.

Aim.HighI would consider that a positive, personally. But I could see that as a negative if you were somebody who frequently switched between having a beard and being cleanshaven.

dqnielYeah it depends on your situation. I don't grow hair at a fast enough rate to warrant a beard thinner. I have a 4 day rotation of clean-shaven to perfect amount of stubble on my chin and 'stache lol. If I was growing a beard in a day (I know some who do) and it was irritating to shave daily then I'd probably consider using something with this sort of ingredient.

This is a good kit but seems kinda high price. I got mine with a Dreadnought razor for not too much more. The brush, if I recall correctly, is synthetic bristles not boars hair.

I got this kit in round 1 and for a first wetshaving kit I must say that it's super nice. The brush is boar hair, but works fine.
