vincent07Yeh, they say it's so the board can be as cheap as possible, but I feel the sense75 being all metal, comes with stabs, and they could still sell that for 99 dollars for the barebones version , I can't justify why this one is the same price for a polycarbonate board that doesn't even come with stabs or even a basic black polycarb top case and seems to have less features than the sense75

jimdandyi would buy but they becoming like apple with sold separately lol
jimdandyI don't know if the Sense75 is going to be a fair comparison ~ I think those fire sale prices were to just get rid of it after it was poorly received. Still, I agree that $99 for this seems a bit high all things considered. When you consider that a complete keyboard with switches, keycaps, stabs, and top is only $50 more, but if purchased seperately - $24-$36 for switches ($12 per 35 pack of gateron milky yellows), $17.50 for the top, $16 for the Gateron stablizers, and $?? for the keycaps for a total of $156.50 WITHOUT keycaps... something is not scaling right.

TopreLoveI could view it as a need to just offload what they had left, but I also wonder if that was the case, why did they put work into revising it and bringing up to a higher quality while bringing the price down? I don't see why a company would do revisions on something they plan to sell at a discount when people who paid top dollar got the bad version, without compensating those people But yeah I agree, this price would be easier to swallow with Atleast stabs included, the top case at a discount is good enough for me
jimdandyThe timeline for the Sense75 is a bit wonky. If I recall, they basically opened up preorders for $350-$400 with a few reviews and videos. The general consensus was that it sounded terrible for a keyboard in this price range. It was then that they promised the revise it to make it sound better. So basically, when they promised to do the revision, it was still $350-$400 (with bonus goodies like a carrying case / keycap set / etc). Skip forward to a few months AFTER people started receiving their preorders, Drop adjusted their prices to what I would consider fire sale prices. Given the timing, especially with Corsair's acquisition, I imagine the fire sale was the result of trying to improve their numbers.

TopreLoveI agree. I'm trying to build a board for a gift and was gonna get this barebone kit but it costs more than buying the full board with switches AND keycaps I don't want at all(so another cost on top of it! to add the switches I want). Stupidity. Who the h*ll sells a barebone kit without a top case?! That's just robbery! So, next revision I'll have to buy a hotswap PCB separately too?! SMH. And while I'm writing this, it costs 25$ for the cheapest top cover in black plastic. WTF. And I also have to buy stabs. Then add shipping fees to this mess. This is bad business practice. Is this Corsair ownership's doing?!

Yallowyeah honestly this isnt the deal anyone thinks it is, i ended up spending another 35 each for 2 plates, cuz like the whole point of this board was to have options, threw my pegaso mitocorns on it = 80 bucks, stabs 25 bucks, and like 40 on switches, so wile i couldve cheaped out on caps, but altogether cost me another 180 dollars to get this board fully built not including the extra top plate

Any recommendations for decent stabilizers?
Our fully built version uses Gateron Screw-In stabilizers, I think those will do just fine.

Are there any plans for other size variations of this board/concept? A 65% would be nuts! Edit 10.19.2023 @ 3:02 PM - Just ordered this board (prebuilt one) and the Overgrowth top plate + subbed yearly to Drop. I will GLADLY buy a 65% if and when it comes to fruition!
Thanks for your support! Keep an eye out towards the end of the year. ;)

My tilde/backtick key isn't working. I've swapped the switch, and that doesn't work. I've tested both the windows and Mac keymap. Any advice?

since it is just the tilde key, and I'm not concerned with that key ghosting, would it be ok to bridge that connection with some solder?
