EpeyonThis is true. A lot of boards will accept both, regardless of hotswap. Some boards do NOT have the required holes on the PCB for the additional pins, but worst-case scenario, you can always just cut them off with flush cutters (I've even used nail clippers in the past). If you're using a board that is hotswap and has a fixed-layout plate (like the CTRL, for example), the 3-pin are what you want. Otherwise, I'd go 5-pin.

Are these any better than the Glorious Panda switches? Or pretty much the same?

Personally, I prefer them to Glorious Pandas and previous Holy Pandas. They all feature a similar tactility, but these are much smoother, more stable, and more consistent than the others. At the end of the day, it's preference, but these do feel much more refined than previous versions.
