I have a Ducky One TKL — if you want a linear red switch (no idea about the "silent" bit…) and you like the colourscheme this is a great deal. The build quality on the Ducky One is fantastic, and their PBT keycaps are top notch as well.

hjstDude, you haven't put some thick rubber o-rings yet? My ducky shine 2 with MX red and o rings is the most silent keyboard I have ever used. Sadly, I don't game anymore and I prefer MX clears/ zealios for typing because of the activation point se it's collecting dust.

hjstI just got my ducky one dyesub TKL with cherry red. Although I haven't used it extensively, I was under the impression that the build quality is not as sturdy as Leopold. I just feel the case is not thick as I expected, and caps are not really as heavy as they appear to be, in spite of being dye sub.

Mario.PaulTheoretically I believe that the quietest mechanical keyboard should be Leopold 980 (Silent red), due to its built-in sound absorbing pad, apart from the silent red switches and extra thick PBT keycaps. However, I reckon you could further reduce the noise by applying GMK switch clips and O-rings to these keys, although the type feel may be horrible after that. By the way, even the noisiest cherry blue won't bother me, as there are vehicles coming back an forth each day nearby, so my ear plugs alone just suffice.

hjstI didn't say my keyboard was the most silent keyboard in the world, but the most silent I have personally used. But again I haven't used it in years since linear switches are horrible for typing (no actuation point) and I don't game anymore.
I'm the opposite to you mate, where I live it is extremely silent (hurricane proof windows and doors with gasket seals and in a quiet residential area) so the MX blues in my current Pok3r are extremely loud, especially at night. I'm just waiting for my Whitefox with zealios to arrive but Massdrop said mine is delayed and on the third wave of shipments :(

vaxus7I can't compare it to a Leopold model as I've never had my hands on one. I compare it to all the other keyboards in the stores here (CM, Razer, Das, Logitech, Steelseries etc.) plus my own experience over the years with Lenovo/Apple/IBM keyboards. The Ducky One is a solid, well-built board — I'm sure there are better boards available; I simply wanted to offer an anecdotal data point from an owner for anyone reading this who's considering this model :-) At this price it's a very good deal.

hjstGlad to hear that. I believe Ducky One dye sublimation is of good quality. I mean most boards made in Taiwan are. I haven't used mine even for an hour. So my judgement could be wrong. But I can vouch for Leopold FC660M's quality at least, 750R is very disappointing though, due to its ping issue.

Mario.PaulI wish I would live/work in a similar surrounding like yours soon. I remembered that I also had to wait for months before my Whitefox's arrival, and with extra delay of course. Pok3r isn't good for its quality, but for its simply layout with programmability. I personally don't like MX blue, not because it's loud, but for being tardy during fast typing. You might want to check out blues from Das and Filco, especially from Das4. I favor light linear switches, such as cherry red, silver, silent red and gateron clear by the way.
