I was really tempted, but... For 79.99 shipped I was able to get a CM Storm QuickFire TK from Fry's. Same specs as the Ducky, minus the gold and the snake. Which I'll miss, but not $140 dollar different miss. Plus the TK has a more compact and unique layout.
One day, Ducky. One day. Maybe if they ever put in a USB hub/pass-thru. At this rate it's still cheaper to go WASD Keyboards.
Ducky's price point is hard to justify, even with a Massdrop. :/ This should be $150 or less.

KliskI'm sure everyone would like it to be much cheaper, but given that it's got an anodized aluminium front plate and it doesn't have the level of distribution of brands like Razer or Cooler Master, it's going to be more expensive. It's also worth noting that they don't have the same specs, not even close, they're not even the same size, The TK is TKL sized with the arrow keys merged into the numpad, the Ducky Tuhaojin (gold edition) is full sized. The Ducky also has more backlighting colours, more backlighting customization options, higher build quality and DIP switches, the QuickFire TK has none of those.

Paradigm84They both have white LED's. How does the Ducky have more colors? Also, I would consider the TKL design more desirable... Not to mention that a lot of people have said the build quality on the TK has been cited as being as good as Ducky's. I can't imagine ever using the dip switches more than once. So, yeah... Not much a difference here for the price premium if more backlighting 'options' is the only selling point.

Paradigm84woahwoahwoah higher built quality wut? the TK is one of the best from cmstorm, and none of cmstorm has shit quality, while ducky are known to be more bling than rock solid quality, Ducky's abs default keycaps suck compare to Cmstorms', even if ducky sells pbt version keyboards

Kliskthere';s no such thing as ducky quality, ducky doesn't equal quality, it equals bling. welcome back to reality.

lyrillTry learning some reading comprehension. I wasn't saying Ducky in general was the the paragon of build quality, I was referring to this specific board. This board will have less flex than other models due to the aluminium front plate. And if by "one of the best" you mean, maybe 6th then yeah, fine "one of the best".
Also, try learning to write proper sentences if you want to debate a point, that way you won't come across like you're some marginally intelligent chimp that's just got it's first mechanical keyboard and now has gone from throwing feces literally to doing it figuratively online with your fanboy-esque whining.

KliskDucky keyboards, specifically the Shine 3 are available with a larger variety of backlighting colours than the boards Cooler Master puts out. Not to say this is bad for Cooler Master, I'm sure they could put out more colours if they wanted, but they evidently don't see the need to, which is fine.
As fascinating as it is that you prefer the TKL size boards more interesting, not everyone does. If you want to make a decent comparison then it should be between similar boards, not ones that differ in such significant ways.
Also, which Ducky model specifically was it compared to? The lower end models or the higher end ones?
In addition, DIP switches aren't something you're necessarily going to use all the time, most people don't switch stuff around very often, but that's not the point of them. The point of them is it allows you to alter the board to suit your tastes better, i.e. some boards allow you to swap Ctrl and Caps Lock on the left hand side if you prefer.
And again, the backlighting options isn't the main reason the price is so high, it's the anodized aluminium faceplate, something which the TK does not have.
TL;DR - The boards aren't remotely similar, stop trying to compare them to try and justify your purchase of a different board and let people buy what they want.

lyrillI'm not, I honestly don't care what anyone chooses to buy with their own money, they could buy a $2 keyboard for all I care. What I'm trying to point out is that the CM Storm QuickFire TK, regardless of how much you like it, is not a suitable comparison to the Ducky Shine 3 Tuhaojin, they are very different boards for different potential buyers. Something like the CM Storm Trigger or Trigger-Z is a better comparison to the Ducky listed here, but even then, some would argue this board is more collectable than the Trigger/ Trigger-Z.
