Mechanical Keyboard Sound Isn't That Simple
Figure 1: I couldn't think of a more literal way to represent this article if I tried... Looking back just a few years ago, there’s no doubt that the huge influx of people that joined the hobby at the peak of the COVID pandemic were drawn to keyboards by way of YouTube, TikTok, and other audio-visual content platforms. Even as the output from these content creators has waned in recent months, their collective impact and legacy on the keyboard hobby is rather firmly etched in the history books. As a result of all of their sound tests, build logs, and opinion videos, the message is clear to any new person joining the hobby: mechanical keyboards are all about the sound. Thock this, clack that. Whether it’s keyboards, keycaps, or even singular switches, seemingly everyone new to the hobby meticulously pores over each component of their keyboard not in an attempt to figure out how it will feel in hand, but how it will sound as they’re furiously grinding their way out from...

One day, Ducky. One day. Maybe if they ever put in a USB hub/pass-thru. At this rate it's still cheaper to go WASD Keyboards.
Ducky's price point is hard to justify, even with a Massdrop. :/ This should be $150 or less.
seems like your just mad because you have a cm storm and not a ducky
Also, try learning to write proper sentences if you want to debate a point, that way you won't come across like you're some marginally intelligent chimp that's just got it's first mechanical keyboard and now has gone from throwing feces literally to doing it figuratively online with your fanboy-esque whining.
As fascinating as it is that you prefer the TKL size boards more interesting, not everyone does. If you want to make a decent comparison then it should be between similar boards, not ones that differ in such significant ways.
Also, which Ducky model specifically was it compared to? The lower end models or the higher end ones?
In addition, DIP switches aren't something you're necessarily going to use all the time, most people don't switch stuff around very often, but that's not the point of them. The point of them is it allows you to alter the board to suit your tastes better, i.e. some boards allow you to swap Ctrl and Caps Lock on the left hand side if you prefer.
And again, the backlighting options isn't the main reason the price is so high, it's the anodized aluminium faceplate, something which the TK does not have.
TL;DR - The boards aren't remotely similar, stop trying to compare them to try and justify your purchase of a different board and let people buy what they want.
fact is they are all shit. and in the case of cm storm they prioritize longevity over face value milky creamy touch. care to debate moar?
