Named for the Minnesota city in which it was founded, Duluth Pack has been making handcrafted bags—from hunting shell bags to canoe packs to luggage—since 1882. This is the company’s City Portfolio, ideal for traveling, commuting, and heading to that meeting in the city. Made of durable 15-ounce canvas in a range of colors, the envelope-style design features two spacious snap-closure pockets on the front. The main compartment can fit a 17-inch laptop, and while there’s no sleeve, the portfolio is flat enough to protect it and allow it to lay flat. There’s even a built-in bottle holder for your beverage of choice. Finally, the portfolio comes with a detachable cotton-web strap, so you can wear it like a messenger cross-body bag or over your shoulder.
