Product Description
Named for the Minnesota city in which it was founded, Duluth Pack has been making handcrafted bags—from hunting shell bags to canoe packs to luggage—since 1882. These are the company’s classic book bags, large enough to hold all your daily work or school essentials, including a 15-inch or 17-inch laptop and a lightweight jacket Read More
You should not buy the 17" bag unless your laptop is thinner than 1" or you're putting a smaller than 17" laptop inside it.
The same probably goes for the smaller bag as well, all laptop sleeves are designed for macbooks -_-
Did some investigation re: quality for the price of the bag.
On Duluth's own site, customers seem generally happy with how long the bag lasts (on the order of 5+ years without visible wear). The price on Duluth's own site is $200, so Massdrop isn't trying to pull a price anchoring trick like they've done with other products.
The fact that this is canvas makes the price somewhat less appealing, but Duluth advertises that all their bags are made in the USA and quality checked, so if you're going to go in on this you know you're not buying cheap Chinese like a large number of other bags on the market. For $130 I'd say an American-made bag of high quality like this is a deal worth considering.
Does anyone have the actual dimensions of the laptop sleeve inside the bag?
I'd like to know if my 17.3" Toshiba Qosmio would fit inside. It's dimensions are 16.5 x 10.7 x 1.2-1.7 (it's thinner towards the front)
KlipDuluthian here, you're thinking of Duluth Trading Co. Duluth Pack mainly does bags and backpacks, and their apparel is pretty run-of-the-mill hoodies and t-shirts.
