I'm a novice (actually never played) but interested in getting D&D for some high school students. Would this be a good place to start, or should I just get the D&D starter packs?

philosophographluxThese are board games that carry the D&D name. If you're looking for the original (And now quite popular) D&D where a bunch of people sit around the table, and one person controls the game with pencils, paper, and dice, then you need to look for the Players Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide, and an Adventure or two. You can learn more on YouTube, or the D&D site. Your local game store can explain it all as well.
