Hey there. I bought these on the last drop and they are some of the best headphones I have ever used. Cable Stiff is a real issue if you do not take good care of them. I used em to bed and I always kept em in the ear hook which is not recommended. However DUNU has had excellent customer service for me, I lost an ear hook and they replaced it and I also recently sent in my headphones for warranty since they were destroyed due to the stiff cable. Just had to pay shipping to the facility in hong kong. I was also informed that : "> As your descripton of cable warranty issue. It indeed occured of cable stiff, But the ratio was few. Due to climate, oil stain, sweat, clean, maintenance...etc causes cable become stiff. Especially in frigid countries. > . > We already improve the cable material of DN-1000. Therefore, please send your DN-1000 to me. I will replace a whole new earphone (with new material of cable) to you. > PS: Just send earphone back ! It doesn't need need to send tip/case/package back ! > "

lazerusHey I also bought these on the last drop, and my cable is starting to get pretty stiff as well. So far they're still working fine and everything, can I still send them back? Like you sent them in, and they replaced them for you with a new cable material that doesn't stiffen? Am I reading that right? If so that's awesome.

QuivexYe indeed. Sorry that the formatting of the last post was a bit unclear. My headphones were completely broken and all i did was email Dunu support, told them my issue and they just had me send them in. The way the rep worded it seemed as if they would replace it broken or just stiff. Send away dunu@dunu-topsound.com . Im not Dunu or anything, but my experience has been great so far. Although shipping takes awhile and make sure to remind the rep you speak with because both time they forgot to sent it quickly.

lazerusHave you received the new pair with the new cable type? If so, does it appear different? Would really rather not drop this much money on a set only to regret it.

RonnocermanThe cable appears to be different. Much more supple and smooth, while still strong. I have only had it for a few days though. I'll post here if I have any issues with it.

lazerusWell, finally after about 5 months the outer cable got so stiff that it cracked, revealing the wires inside. Emailed dunu support and they seem happy to replace it for me. It's been 3 months since you posted this, have you noticed the cable stiffening again at all? It would be really awesome if I don't have to worry about the replacement doing the same thing...For some reason I just get the feeling it'll do it again anyways :/

QuivexThats really odd. From when I replaced it I still have not gotten the cable stiffening. Hopefully you have better luck.

lazerusThat's good to know! But will you believe this? I got my replacement from Dunu 5(FIVE) days ago, and the left driver popped...No sound...Unbelievable. I don't know if I'm just unlucky or what but I am not having the best experience with these ahaha. At least I know the cable should be okay.
