Just joined the drop. Thanks, everyone, for giving me the links. I now know a little more about keyboards than I once did.
One MORE question: can you ever get a custom cable, or at least one that is not the norm? How would you attach it (if it's even possible) to one of these keyboards?
Thank you, Brenda

brenda52411From what was previously answered, the keyboard should be a Type-C connection, so any Type-C cable should do it. Quickest not-norm that comes to mind is purchasing cable sleeves.

brenda52411The connection TO the keyboard is USB-C. The keyboard comes with 2 power cable types. One USB-C to USB-A and one USB-C to USB-C. As long as your custom cable is using USB-C, to connect to the keyboard, it will work fine.

brenda52411Thank you, Texindus and GobblesTZT, but you are oh, 500 miles or so, over my head... could you please point me to something that would work?
Thank you, Brenda (I'm trying to catch on, but not there yet.)

brenda52411This keyboard's power cable is detachable. The keyboard comes with two options for the power cable- One USB-C to USB-A and one USB-C to USB-C. The plug that connects to the keyboard is USB-C. The letters at the end of the USB denote the type of plug it uses.

USB-A is the big USB plug typically seen on computers or wall plugs. It is the size of most flash drives. Every computer has at least one of these.
USB-A Plug:

USB-C is the 'newest' plug type for USB. It is just about the same size as a micro USB plug that is commonly used for Android phones and other electronics. However, it is more resilient. It can transfer power and data faster. USB-C also has reversible orientation- i.e. it can be plugged in either direction. USB-C next to a USB-A Plug:

I am not sure what you mean a 'custom cable, or at least one that is not the norm?'. You can use any custom cable for this keyboard AS LONG AS it uses USB-C to connect to the keyboard. What kind of customization where you thinking of beyond sleeveing or custom lengths?

GobblesTZTThank you so VERY much, GobblesTZT. Now I understand what the ends should look like, etc. And thank you SO much for the pictures. It helps me understand the difference. I *really* appreciate your help.
I am not sure what I mean by a custom cable, but I am thinking of trying to find one that is just "different looking" than the plain old black cables that you typically see. As usual, I don't know what I'm talking about, but just thought, since I am going to have a neat looking keyboard, I would try to find a likewise neat looking cable for it.
MD seems to be the place to look for "different" things. It's also the place to come to ask questions. All there is locally is one big box store, with nothing in keyboards or cables other than just ... normal stuff.
THANK YOU, Brenda

texindusHate to bother you, but where do I find cable sleeves? I am in a world that I am not used to living in. Sorry to keep bothering everyone. I'm trying to learn, and thank you so very much.

brenda52411Never mind my obnoxious question. I just searched for "cable sleeves" and see what you are talking about. THANK YOU. Yes, this is what I was looking for... just something different than the normal black cable. THANK YOU.

GobblesTZTI just searched for "cable sleeves". This is a new term to me. YES, this is what I am searching for. Sorry to have had to bother you. I will search for cable sleeves that are in a buy. If I don't find one that is open that I like, I will request one to open. Now I know what to search for. THANK YOU very much. Sorry to have not understood (anything) from the beginning.

brenda52411No problem! It can get complicated quickly XD
But be careful with the cable sleeving. You can buy customer sleeved cables, where you do not have to do anything but plug it in, but sometimes they are 'kits' and you have to sleeve the cables yourself. Make sure to watch a youtube video on it to see the process.
I MD just recently had a drop with custom cables (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/mechcables-laser-custom-sleeved-usb-cable). There are a bunch of other sites out there with custom cable options.
