Whether you’re new to hammock camping or a pro at hanging ‘em high, the Dutchware Dutch Buckle Suspension Kit contains all you need for a night of comfortable, no-impact sleep—without the long search for level ground. The kit includes a pair each of Dutch buckles, tree straps, and whoopie slings, with the option to add Dutch clips, working together to provide strong, lightweight, adjustable suspension.
Note: This drop is limited to 100 Suspension Kits. You can add-on a pair of the Dutch Clips for +$15.49.
Specifically designed to replace the marlin spike hitch, the Dutch buckle offers a lighter, faster, and safer method of connecting the whoopie sling to the tree straps. The buckle is completely adjustable, and you can slide it up or down to accommodate the tree size. Plus, its retention shock cord and latch method allow you to keep your tree straps neatly stowed away when not in use. Each 8-foot tree strap features a 3.5-inch loop, and can be cut shorter if necessary; just snip and melt the unlooped end to avoid fraying. The optional Dutch Clip replaces a carabiner for a quick connection and release, and can support up to 300 pounds.
Dutchware founder Thom Ressler (Dutch is his trail name) began making his own minimalist gear in 2003, driven by a need to pare down while hiking the Appalachian Trail. When he invented the titanium Dutch clip, designed to connect webbing suspension around trees, the company was born. Today, Dutchware makes a range of products, and strives to source from local manufacturers, use recycled materials, and reduce packaging waste whenever possible.
