It's expensive, but with the amount of research I put into these chairs, I can comfortably say that the Maxnomic chairs are the best construction you can find for a new chair under $500. The padding is firm, but the way that the chair hugs your body and encourages proper posture should be very comfortable for you.
Whatever you do, when buying these racing-style seats, make sure you buy the right size and don't skimp on a smaller chair to save a little bit of money. The bigger chairs are better fitted for your body and have more ample padding.
