I'm sorry to say this but I have to disagree with the last poster comment. This chair is not even remotely close to worth every penny. I was really excited for this chair. My old chair was well past its prime and I thought I would get one of these. Last chair cost me $175 and is 50x more comfortable. I'm about 5ft11 inch and about 170lbs, so pretty average. 30mins of sitting in this chair and my butt is numb! The cushions are hard as a rock with 0 give, and the fabric is terrible. Its so rough and scratchy its like sand paper. Yesterday I sat in it for about 20mins without a shirt on and when I got up my girlfriend said "what the hell did you do to your back!" It was all red and felt like a braille tablet it had so many indention's. Like when you lay on a folded bed sheet for too long and it leaves that indention but 100 times worse. The pillow for the lower back support is way to big and also like a stone, it actually hurt my back. The extra pad for head and neck support cant go down far enough on the back rest to give any kind of support and even at the lowest setting the chair sits really high. Absolutely no point in having great hydraulics in the chair when you will never use it. Nothing about this chair says $400. If you want to test if you will like this chair take a sheet of sand paper down to your local park, put it on a metal bench and have a seat because thats what this thing feel like. I dont know but maybe the leather ones are better. If I could return this thing I would. Never buying DXracer again and never buying from Mass Drop. I know its not Mass Drops fault but their no return policy is too much of a risk for this kind of money. I paid $400 for a chair that was advertised for "long gaming sessions" that's causing my butt to go numb after 30mins. So bumbed!
Kaiser554I'm 6'4" 200lbs. I can see where you are coming from. Personally the chair has actually started to get more comfortable with me the more I sit in it. I have never actually sat in the chair without a shirt on, but I can see your comparison to sand paper. I will note that the fabric is very breathable though. The lumbar support actually works perfectly for me, it's odd to use at first, but after awhile I will get up and notice that my back feels amazing. The head pillow is perfect for my height, but I can see a person that is 5'11" having problems with being able to reach it. I do want to take back my comment of "worth every penny" because the more I sit in it, the more I realize that it is more like a $250-$300 chair at the most. I also agree that the chair does sit a little bit higher than I would like. The arms could also be better, but they "work".
I do want to add that I personally don't have problems with my butt going numb, but it sucks to hear that you are having that problem.
I think the deal with this chair is that it is really only good for bigger than average guys, and it's not like explicitly stated I guess. I think one of their other flavors would have worked for you better.
For me I like the chair a lot, because the one I came from was literally a piece of crap, so I don't have much to go off of.

Last I checked it still had ten hours left, now it says drop closed like 2 hours later? I was going to order this afternoon, and now I can't. Any comment?
I'll say the same thing that I've said for every dxracer chair that comes up on Massdrop: Canada. How bloody hard is it for you guys to ship something just a couple more clicks North? Jeez
Would this be ok for a 5'9 175lb guy? Would one of the others fit me better? Trying to find pictures or videos of people my size in these chairs is difficult..
Those are just so expensive. I might get the drift series from their site.. I'm just doing research and trying to decide. The I wish the aeron had a headrest area that's one of the things I want. Goodluck!
beardedkgI'm about the same height/weight (5'10", 165lbs), and I got this Iron Series one from a drop last fall. The lowest height is a bit higher than I'd like. I can set my feet flat on the ground, but only if I'm sitting fairly forward on the chair with good posture (I tend to slouch :-P). Also, I found the shoulder/upper back area a bit narrow due to how the padding on the sides fold in a bit. Overall, it's a nice chair, but I really think it would fit a taller and thinner (compared to me) physique better.
