Received mine a couple of hours ago, about 10 minutes after the tornado warning sirens started going off (they were still going off when the UPS guy and I carried the chair into my garage). Before he showed up, I figured it would be delayed another day, guess not. I asked the UPS guy why they weren't being called back, or told to shelter, or something, and he said their instructions are to just drive away from the tornados if they see one :D.
The shipping box had clearly been through hell, and retaped at least two different times. The UPS guy asked if I wanted to accept the package in that condition without my even asking. I told him he risked his life to get it to me so the least I could do was accept the package.
Anyway, it was easy to put together. It doesn't smell great, but not as bad or as strong as I have read... I suppose some are worse than others. Mine has 5 different places where the PU/PVC has been pierced/cut, but only one of them is noticeable from a distance as it is about 1.5cm long with the interior poking out given it is splitting where it was cut (on the rear top of the seat back). It is easily masked with electrical tape and the cuts don't affect the comfort or functionality of the chair so to me not worth the hassle of dealing with CS for either company for a 70 lb item. If you do care, before beginning assembly I would carefully check the seating bottom and back in a well lit area. I didn't see the other cuts at first because I wasn't in a well lit area and the cuts weren't in stretched areas so they weren't splitting open.
Regarding fit and finish of the chair, it is clearly solid and well made, but I wouldn't say that the "finish" is outstanding, it is just OK. The metal parts are dinged up and scratched/scraped, the spray painting is not even and has a few runs, there are some rough edges, etc. but none of these issues are noticeable at a distance. It isn't bad, and probably to be expected at this price point.
I am 6'0" and about 200lb. As far as comfort it is pretty good, definitely better than the $70 Staple chair that it is replacing, although not much better than the $70 staples chair when that chair was brand new (which lasted about two weeks at maybe 8 hrs a day). To be fair, the Staples chair was a bargain, and felt almost as good as a $300 Costco chair I had. This chair just isn't as pliant as I was expecting, but that is probably because I have been building it up in my mind since watching reviews at the end of last year. I was expecting a feeling similar to sitting in the Recaro chairs in my RS4 and later S6 which sort of look similar given the wing designs (especially the S6), but that is just silly... I think the Audi seats probably cost >10 times as much. I am just stating how I let the expectations build up probably too high. The real test isn't going to be first impressions though, rather how comfortable I am after a few hours of working, and how the chair feels six months from now.
At first I had both pillows attached but I found that the lumbar pillow didn't help and made the seating surface too shallow. Once I removed the pillow the chair was much more comfortable for me, where it still has plenty of back support and gives me more of that form fitting feeling, and doesn't feel shallow anymore. No amount of adjusting made the lumbar pillow desirable(I really wanted it to work for some reason)... I am glad it is optional.
I will leave it at that as this is a pretty subjective area, and I don't think I will be able to give a good opinion until using the chair for a few months anyway. This chair is higher than my old one, I cannot sit with one of my legs folded under me like I often do, and this chair forces a different more upright posture for me, so it will take some getting used to. Even $50 chairs can feel awesome *at first*, heck my $300 Costco office chair felt great for a month or two, until all of the cushioning died(this was when I was around 170lb). Based on what I have read the cushioning in this chair will last much longer... time will tell. Assuming I get used to the required posture changes and how the chair feels right now... I think I will be happy with the investment if it maintains this same level of "cushiness".

CraftyhackGood review and I'd agree with what you've written. I've had mine for almost two months now and the smell is still bothering me even after various measures to air it out. It actually makes my eyes burn sometimes. So far it seems either I'm a lot more sensitive than most people or I got something a lot smellier than others did.
I'm a bit of a chair snob... not because I'm really that much of a snob, but I really need a perfect chair to keep me going the way I want to go. I'm lukewarm positive on DX Racer right now.
DX Racer makes pretty decent chairs, but like you I was expecting more due to the completely glowing reviews of their chairs, but I'm coming to conclude that this might be the first chair for a lot of people that didn't come from a place like Staples and if that's what you're comparing against, yeah it is awesome and made like a tank.
If all of your chairs list price at $1000 minimum, you'll find a lot of things to be cranky about, but that's to be expected for a chair at this price. To me, it just about meets expectations after I account for the inexperience of a lot of the glowing reviews.
Of course, it's different for everyone. It's not possible to make a chair that everyone will love no matter the price point. I'm sure plenty of people are entirely justified in saying it's the best chair they've ever owned.

hyperlinkedThanks, and regarding the smell, your previous review here was one of the ones I am referring to. Now that I have been sitting in the chair in an enclosed space for maybe 2 hours now... I can see what you mean, my eyes are burning a bit, and the smell is stronger now. It is difficult to air out my basement/office, and with 60mph winds and thunderstorms outside, not going to put the chair out there or put it in a room with any open windows :). It is ironic that the abbreviation for this material is "PU"... I agree :D. Perhaps there is a way to deodorize it, will have to Google around and see. It isn't that bad for me though... I only notice when I shift positions and air is pushed out of the cushions, or when I lean back so that my head is rested against the back.
One feature I do enjoy that is somewhat unique for office chairs, the ability to recline the seatback is really cool... like while watching a youtube video or two and there isn't a need to reach the KB.

CraftyhackIt's not the PU that smells. It's the foam. Pull the foam out of the head rest to air it out better. It'll take forever to air it out while it's still inside the PU shell.
You can sort of do the same thing to the foam in the chair backing. If you run your hands along the right edge of the seat back where there's an opening for the lumbar support to slide into, you'll notice a velcro strip. If you undo the strip, it'll expose some of the foam inside the seat back. I did thing and then stuck something in there to tent up the seatback so I could run a fan directly into the opening. That helped. It definitey aired out some of the gasses, but it still smells. My wife complained that the house was reeking of the smell of the foam.
