@hikaritenchi Did you get to try the new king with the lowered sides? I'm debating between the max and the king and the king drop only has a day left on it so I need to decide fast lol. Also what is the max weight on the Max?
Edit: nvm max weight is 330. So I could get either chair and be happy just not sure which one to get lol.

MetrasFrom what I have been reading, the Max series is better for bigger people than the King series. Those sides, even if they're lower, will prevent you from spreading your legs while sitting. I guess it really depends on how you sit in your chair. I like to spread my legs a lot, so the Max seems better for me.
If you can suffer through the typical YouTube review rambling, this video gives a decent comparison between the King series and the Max series. He puts a lot of emphasis on the actual seat portion of the chair.

NiffinI'm not sure you're comparing this to the NEW King KX28. The sides on the new King series are lower than this chair. His comparison is of the old King series. He's also reviewing a different Max chair than listed above. His chair has 1-inch wide vertical stripes on the back which is a different model (OH/MY98/NR).

NiffinI watched his entire video which is part of the reason I'm leaning for the Max. I also watched Barnacules video on the Max and apparently the max still has some type of side wings under the cushion itself.

@13:04. I'm still split as people are saying go KX as the lower wings are a lot better and people are saying go Max, I really wish there was a close place that I could try them before I buy =/. And as far as the Xerowing review goes we are both the same height (5'11) and the headrest seems to line up perfectly for him. But another reason I'm considering the king is being closer to the max weight of the Max, I feel having the extra "max weight" from the king would hold up better in the long run.

Metras@Metras I did try the new King, and you can see in the pictures for the King drop that the sidewells are a ton lower than they are on the Max. I don't really have anything more to say about the sidewells, because I usually lean pretty far back in the chair, and don't even touch the sidewells.

MetrasFrom the review I linked before, he says it has those little upper portions on the side of the seat, but they are the same foam as the middle seat section. I'm not sure which King series he's comparing it to, but he does mention the wings on the king series actually have part of the frame in them which makes them stiff. The "wings" on the seat portion of the max are all foam and are softer supposedly. I believe he says the same about the wings on the back section of the seat as well. Though I could be wrong about the King series as well.
If max weight is an issue, I don't have enough information to recommend either one. Though, I would assume if the Max broke due to max weight issues and you're still under the max weight, then it shouldn't be an issue to get support for it. Though, according to both of the reviews, DXRacer support isn't exactly stellar.
