Any reviews of the mesh version of the chair!? I would love to know how it is as I currently use a mesh chair after having 5 chairs of PU leather fall apart on me.
Unter_DogYou body build dude, muscle mass is really heavy. Did you check the weight limits? If you're not fat that's cool, but you still might be near or over the weight limit if you lift.
erzengelsachiel Cobra X Weight capacity: 330 lbs
I'm about 200 lbs, not even close to the limit.
The mechanics of the chair are decent, but the upholstery is nothing to write home about, at least on my specific chair. Mine may just be a lemon.
Unter_DogOh no, you're right, the chairs in these price ranges dont have much in the way of padding. But then again, its not a GTOmega or a DXRacer...however, if you have a friend that can upholster, have them add some cushioning to yours. Idk, its good for the price I think.
erzengelsachielThe cushioning isn't even an issue for me. I think its really comfortable. The issue is that the PU is wearing like a sub 100 dollar Walmart chair.
Unter_DogBonded anything tends to do that. You could just peel off the rest and dye it. Or just sell it on Craigslist/Ebay or something. Problem is, if the bonded material is peeling you'll be unlikely to find a buyer. I'd look into peeling the rest and getting some fabric dye. Then you can make it whatever color you want. I'm into DIY stuff, so it's always an option. And funny thing is, my mother bought a $50 Walmart special office chair like 10 years ago for her little sewing room in the basement, still looks mint and she sews like a madman! So I don't really know what to say on that one!
