Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

I've tried squeezing/bending the metal headband but I don't want to break it & it's still SO loose. The top half of my ear is covered, it's just the bottom half of my ear that has a slight gap. The only way I get a tight seal is if I squeeze the headphones while I'm wearing them... : ' (
What I mean is that rotate the bottom part towards inside and top part towards outside, the hinge if I remember correctly is very stiff, it only rotate if you bend it before putting it on your head.
From the picture it seems like it's possible for bottom part to touch, so it should be possible to get a more V shaped angle than n shaped angle if that makes sense.
I have the same problem on Grado headphones because the earcup hinge has like 5 degree of movement (which is like nothing) and I have a big head, so it would fan out like n shape you talk about (only top touches, bottom has gap). But I thought K553 should have enough rotation to fit.
Though to answer your question, all the Fostex variants (TH900, TH-X00, E-Mu Teak...etc) all have a "comfortable" fit so they don't go on super tight like other headphones such as M50X or HD650 (aka death grip). So I'm not 100% sure if this would be the best for you.
