I finally got my situation straightened out. I want to thank Chan at E-mu. He was extremely helpful and courteous and I couldn't have gotten it straightened out without his help. Here's my porn collection. The Teak cups are translucent. They change color depending how you look at them. The Ebony is also very striking. Rosewood is a bit subdued but also has its charms. Beautiful! I haven't had a chance to do much listening but slightly prefer the Rosewood over the Teak. It seems to be a bit clearer sounding. Unfortunately, I haven'thad a chance to listen to the Ebony. Have to work to pay for these things! I definitely prefer these over the TH-X00 thanks to the extended treble. They sound overall more focused. The X00 has a tendency to sound a little muddled at times, especially in the mids. The Teaks are definitely cleaner sounding. I absolutely love these cans!

TearistturnipX00, 600, 900, Denon D5000/7000 and the E-MUs are all cross compatible in terms of cups. They have different external dimensions (i.e. X00 being the most flat, Denons having a steep climb in height, and 600/900 cups being a smooth dome), but all of them have the same mounting construction, screw holes etc.
The different internal materials and dimensions have sonic implications, but it seems like the X00 design is the least well rounded and makes the sound very condensed.
The tallest cups in use with the biodynamics seem to be the Lawton ones.

TearistturnipThe cups are completely interchangeable. I've been using the ebony cups on my X00's which really brings out the best in them. You can contact Chan at enquiry@emu.com for the other cups if you already have the Teaks or are part of this drop. Make sure you include your Massdrop name when contacting him.

RevannaWhat makes you say that the X00 serie makes the sound "condensed" altough I'm not sure what it mean, you've listen to them? how many of these cups have you experimented with?

Pierre111When I say condensed I'm referring to the fact that many people have reported a very narrow soundstage on them, similar to the HD600s, whereas the E-MUs are said to be noticeably wider sounding, which I personally value (hence why K712s are my daily headphones).
Apparently the recent ebony revision is looking to give them at least some form of soundstage, but the mahogany version had little to none according to just about anyone I talked to that's tried both the X00 and Teaks.
