Just chiming to say I've lived out of the yellow 40L for a week and it's solid for the price - zippers are great (but not YKK) and include a storm flap, material is water resistant and feels nice, avoids obnoxious branding like the pataguchi black hole, backpack straps are okay but I use the top or side handles since I'm not a little schoolboy.
This bag is great! My friend bought this to use for checked baggage on a week trip abroad and it worked out perfectly. The material itself is very tough and there’s handles located all over it. You could hold it from any angle you wanted. It has shoulder straps that connect to it or fold into the bag itself when you’d rather carry it.
Sizewise im not sure it would be large enough for me to pack in for a whole week, I’d consider it more of a weekend bag. But it’s definitely durable and handy.
MassdropbearThe Osprey is almost 3x the price of this bag and it's hardly fair to compare. In this case, given Osprey's reputation, the price increase is justified as their quality tends to be superior to cheaper products.
I don't have the bag from this drop or the Osprey bag, but I do have other Osprey products. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for with Osprey and this is also true on the other end of the price spectrum. I would confidently guess that this drop is a cheaper alternative to Osprey, not simply an analogous bag to consider.
