Part of a limited-edition run of 999 pieces, the Eberhard & Co. Tazio Nuvolari strikes a pleasing balance between sportiness and elegance. The watch gets its name—and its look—from early 20th-century Italian racecar driver Tazio Nuvolari, also known as “The Flying Mantuan.” Thus, the timepiece is notably racing inspired: Just look to its speedometer-style subdials (which are tied to the chronograph) and its black-and-red colorway for proof. Of course, the white ceramic bezel is also a key indicator of the racing vibes. It features a readout of miles per hour, and just inside of it on the bezel are kilometers per hour. The engine of the vehicle is a 25-jewel automatic movement with a Valjoux 7750 base movement. Set on a white leather strap with red stitching, the watch is a stunner whether you’re on the track or at a cocktail party.
