I'll keep this simple, bass is nice and tight but not heavy, so I wouldn't recommend these for bass heads. The mids are nicely present and clear. The highs, wow, this is where it shines, it can reach highs like you wouldn't believe and its crisp too, to some people it might sound tinny, but I've never found this to be the case. I've used ipod touch 5th gen, fiio x3 and m9, creative soundblaster x7, Huawei P20 pro. If you like highs, and a clean sounding headphone, you might like these. And if you find it tinny, try a portable amp like a toppings nx1s, makes the sound a bit neutral and a little warm, theres also the bass gain too, equilizing also can do wonders.

HotChocolateThank you for the review! For the bass issue, have you tried switching the tuning filters to the bass boost mod?

JoshThomasThank you for your question, I wouldn't say the bass is an issue, I quite like it actually, I have tried the bass filter, with this filter I did notice a very slight bump in the bass frequencies and also a slight increase into lower frequencies. I spent a few hours comparing between other iems I have and the following had more bass imo senfer xba, macaw gta600s, tfz exclusive 5 and tfz series 5s though not always more superior just more boom in your ear.
HotChocolateOh, incredible then! Thank you very much for the feedback, I am very happy to hear :D

HotChocolateI have and really like tfz exclusive 5. Using that as a guide, do you think that I would like the finder X1?

werekongA little hard for me to say yes or no from that as for one my friend what do you like about the exclusive ? So I'll give you my comparison opinion below :) I'm listening to the two back to back while writing this through a Fiio x3 and a toppings nx1s with bass boost and high gain on. The sound signature of the two is quite different. Both are v shaped, though the exclusives tend to have more focus on the BASS, the bass is over a wider frequency going further into the lower frequencies, the finders bass is more precise, fast, controlled and turned down in volume compared to the exclusives. The HIGHS belong to the finders, the highs are over a wider range and extends further into the higher frequencies. When going between the two iems the finders sound like they have more definition, clarity and you are able to pick out more detail due to the highs, the highs really do extend into high note territories, this can b a love or hate issue as some might find it to much, but eq can fix this. The MIDS are warmer and more present in the exclusives compared to the finders, though not lacking in any way in the finders, both are pleasing exclusives being relaxed sounding here compared to the finders sounding fun. SOUNDSTAGE and SEPERATION in my opinion is better reproduced by the finders. CONCLUSION: The two iems sound TOTALLY DIFFERENT TO EACHOTHER, my personal preference by a small margin are the finders, they sound more exciting, revealing and more forward compared to the exclusives which are more bassier, balanced and neutral. If you are looking for another good sounding IEM that sounds different then I'd definitely recommend these, if you're looking for something with the same sound signature as the exclusives then no. But I do love having both options, depending on how I'm feeling at the time depends on which one I grab. Hope this helps, sorry its long, got carried away :p

HotChocolateThanks for taking the time to give the thorough evaluation but I have to admit that I'm still up in the air. To reply to your question about what I like about the exclusive's, it is the feeling to me of their fullness and liveliness. If this is due to its bass and midrange, then maybe the X1 is not for me. What intrigues me about the finders from your description is the wider soundstage and better separation. My biggest fear about the finders was that they might be a step down from the more expensive exclusives, not just different. I think that I could live with "different" as long as quality was comparable and they sounded good to me. I bought the Revonext QT2 after reading glowing reviews. I was completely disappointed in them. Compared to the executives, they sound dull......they don't have the full, lively sound of the executives. I also have TTPOD which I liked before I purchased the executives. After the purchase, they were put on the shelf. I find myself only listening to the executives now. Outside of actually listening, what else is available to make a choice except for reviews but ..........................................I am leary.

werekongAfter reading your experience I'm "NOT" going to recommend these to you. This was hard for me to say cause I absolutely love these iems, and would say they are on par in quality and sound and would of liked to recommend them. If you're a collector I'd have said yes. WHY, from what I understand the sound signature might lean more away from what you are looking for, the exclusives balance and wholsomeness is not there in the x1's though the x1's have the clarity is more revealing which let's you pick out sounds. the QT2's I've heard, and it wasn't to my liking either, but from memory the mid highs to highs were present similarly to the x1's but not of the same quality. Hope that helps :)

HotChocolateLast night I was ready to buy the Finders but decided to wait. Two things happened today to complicate matters. Your reply was one and the KZ AS10 IEM with 5 B.A. drivers offered today by massdrop ($50) was the other. However, I question the KZ because of my experience with the QT2's. Maybe these inexpensive multiple driver iems aren't what they're cracked up to be (if something seems to be too good to be true................................). I don't consider myself a collector even though I own at least 20 iems (I haven't actually counted them.......many are stored away and haven't been used in years). I'm probably just looking for my holy grail. I understand your reasoning for not recommending the Finders........... I didn't like the QT2 which are more similar to the Finders than the TFZs . However, you also didn't care for the QT2, but you still like the Finder. I think that I might be trying to convince myself into buying them. The drop is ending soon, and I think that it'll be either the Finders or the KZs ...........looking for something to break the tie.
