I've had this mug for about 6 months now and I love it. It keeps my tea hot for at least 30 minutes after pouring, and it works well as both an open and closed top vessel. The biggest problem I've had so far is the lacquer has been eroding, originally the copper color much of the handle's varnish and lacquer has been stripped from use, as well as where I rest my other digits. It has seen a lot of use, however, and I do believe it was a great investment. I only wish it was actually accented with copper, however for obvious reasons, this would not be wise given the objective is to contain the heat.

Keweenaw_CopperAt 18 weeks after the original post, the lacquer has continued to erode, however, it is still a lovely mug.
