how does this compare to the techarmor protector? Mine recently got a chip in it from my keys, and looking to replace it, not sure if i should try this or get another techarmor.
My TechArmor one has a lifetime warranty, and I've gotten around 7 replacements from them since purchase. I've chipped/cracked 2 or 3 of them in 2 and a half years. It was never so severe that I couldn't live with it, but they cover any and all damage. I'm no expert on the durability of tempered glass, but I figured no matter how much you spend on it, it wouldn't be long before a replacement was needed due to a crack. It is glass, after all. I bought it for I think only 11 bucks and don't regret it at all. Their customer service is good and the replacement request process is dead simple, and has gotten better with time. The first time I did it years ago, I had to email them and provide a picture of my cracked product. Now, you just fill out a little form on their site and it's done in seconds. You can get a new one just for messing up the installation process. When I replaced my phone last month and needed a new screen protector, they actually took the liberty to send 2 or 3 of them at once to me. I know other people who have gotten extras, too. No idea how they're able to keep shelling these out the way they do, but I was giving out my extras to people at one point. I've gotten a lot out of those 11 dollars.
I was considering this edge-to-edge one because like most screen protectors, mine only covers the flat part of the screen. I think TA has similar ones that cover the entire screen, but I remember not buying it because I read that the black/white border part did not have adhesive and people were getting dust and dirt under it. This may have changed since then, so you'll have to check. I do like the look of the Phantom Glass one, but I'd rather not buy a new one when I don't have to. I believe in paying for a higher quality product, but it should come with the same, if not better benefits, no?
Our high quality materials, innovative manufacturing techniques, and ease-of-installation ensures that Phantom Glass is stronger, smoother, and easier to install. Our screen protectors are also backed with a warranty program.
