Yes this is a struggle that Massdrop deals with on any drops that are heavy products or large boxes. The average shipping cost for the R2000DB to Europe would be about $150. That being said if we opened it up to international shipping then all the comments from international customers would be that the shipping is to expensive.
It is something that we are trying to figure out on our side. We have been in negotiations with many shipping carries to get the best international rates available. Another solution might be that drops that are not available to international customer might could get filtered out of the daily emails that get sent out.
We are looking at many possible solutions for this as we know its frustrating to our international customers. It is for us also as we always want to offer the community the best deal possible.

You are correct the item actual weight of the product in the shipping box is 10.61KG (23.4lbs). However all shipping carriers go by either actual shipping weight or dimensional shipping weight. The dimensional shipping weight of this product is 12.7KG (28lbs). So they will charge you for which ever is higher. (the dimensions of the box being shipped is 24" x 12" x 16")
Also this product is being drop shipped from US distributor directly to the customers. That being said DHL does not allow businesses to use their serveries via drop shipments.
So the best rate that we have among the available shipping carriers that do allow drop shipping to international customers is an average price of about $154.
I know that I have personally shipped packages from San Francisco, CA to Beijing, China that were much smaller and lighter than this and the best rates I could find were around $50.
Its just not cheap to ship larger packages internationally and the rates have been on the rise pretty dramatically the last few years.
I know this is not the answer you were looking for but I want to give you the most accurate and honest answer possible.

I've experience extreme low prices using this system while ordering from my providers in Germany. And it cost 32 euro to ship 30kg of 80x80x80 cm box. So i'm just curious, and since my Kanto YU3 order have just shipped to my forwarder, I should be able to update you all on the price I will pay (with proof, either i'm with or wrong)

Yes as explained the international shipping rates will change dramatically if the products are being shipped from the Massdrop shipping location or if the products are being drop shipped from the vendor. If you received products from Massdrop via DHL then they came directly from our shipment center. '
I can see the transaction where you purchases the Kanto YU3 Matte Black speakers and these are in fact being fulfilled from our shipment center. We can use DHL from this location and that is why it would be cheaper.
However in this case on the Kanto YU2, YU3 & YU5 Speakers drop international shipping was not an option and as you explained already, you used a forwarder to be able to get this transaction completed.
You will be doing the community a good service if you are willing to share this information so that others can take advantage of the forwarder you are using.
It sounds like they must do alot of business at the particular forwarder you are using if they can offer such aggressive rates. I know many here would appreciate you passing along the information.

Kanto drop is being shipped as far as I know from the vendor, thats why surprisingly shipped before estimated date @KantoLiving Hands down buddy! . And is shipped with UPS, not your shipping provider (DHL) ! So is not shipped from your "shipping center" as you stating, either way I'm wright to some point, if is shipped by MD center, then you lied on the drop description, as it clearly states what is states, and I had tiny chat in that group too...
All I've said is I'll be happy to compare shipping charges for speakers send to EU against your 150$ estimate ... Which could make sense in some cases, but not in EU, especially due to DHL hub in germany offering 32 euro for 30kg with 80x80x80cm dimensions, to make it clear in EU with this deal (which MD is using) DHL will only deliver your goods to your international sorting office, and from there it will be handled by your local/national post office. Cut the crap please !
Edit/add on: @B.Hutch you're one of the three on my week list of incompetent drop listers, so your word mean nothing than another excuse or bullshit to me now ! You should know that as I call you all two (at that time) where you list with mistakes again ... Maybe you should concentrate on one thing, listings in your section. Then on the other hand maybe you got to much responsibility that you cannot handle ? Either way, sort it out !

On the Kanto drop page that you participated in it clearly states at the bottom of the page in Big and Bold.... Shipping All orders will be shipped by Massdrop. Estimated ship date is Dec 12, 2016.

Now in this case it did ship directly from the vendor to our shipping center and we fulfilled the orders to the customers.
Also, I did not say that all orders that ship from our shipment center would ship DHL. I was just using that as a comparison and explaining why drop shipping international orders is much more expensive as we can not use DHL to drop ship directly from the vendor. DHL does not allow this.
I could also make that same comparison for UPS which you mentioned before. UPS charges us a much higher rate to drop ship internationally than they charge us for shipping products out of our own facility.
I wont even elaborate to most you said, but USP I've mention is the provider that ship Kanto drop ! You're well mistaken/fraudulent by saying that you did, Kanto shipped our drop not MD ! And if MD did it, it did it via UPS!
