Edox Chronorally-S Watch

From Edox, a Swiss company with over 130 years of watchmaking under its belt, comes the Chronorally-S watch—available on Massdrop before anywhere else. Crafted with a sapphire crystal and a 44-millimeter case made from stainless steel, this watch is as sturdy as it is nice to look at—not to mention it’s water resistant to a depth of 100 meters. The dial is fitted with a day-and-date window at 3 o’clock and polished markers at every hour except for 12 o’clock, which is marked by a Arabic numeral. It features quartz movement for accuracy and luminous hands and markers for visibility in low-light conditions. To keep track of elapsed time, use the unidirectional rotating bezel.

All good stories have an element of romance. For Edox it came early, when founder Christian Ruefli-Flury decided to make a watch for his wife Pauline’s 25th birthday in 1884. Impressed with his gift, Pauline convinced Christian to start a business in the Swiss watchmaking town of Biel. Since, Edox has risen to worldwide prominence. In 1961 it launched the famed Delfin watch, which set a new standard for shock absorption and water resistance thanks to its double-gasket crown. Today, Edox continues a tradition of excellence with a large line spanning dress and sport watches, each of which is made and assembled by hand in Switzerland.
