What's the difference between the Direct Hardwire Cable + Cigarette Input and the Hardwire splice kit? It sounds like the first one include both the hardwire cable to hardwire into the fuses and the cigarette socket to plug your dashcam into while the latter sounds like it's just the hardwire kit for the fuse and no output socket?
The options are very confusing.
jchen1All of these are inputs:
Hardware splice kit is more for the Blacksys and Thinkware.
The Direct Hardwire cable is suited for the Blackvue
Cigarette input (male) is used if do not want it hardwired (e.g., I bought one so I am able to charge it inside the house if needed).
Output:
Cigarette (female) comes with the unit.
doberman_babyThats wrong. the "Direct Hardwire cable" charges the battery (should be included in the box). The "Unspliced 3 wire cable" is the diy option to power the dashcam. I think MD has a typo.
OneLoveYou're correct. Sorry for the confusion.
I hardwired the "Direct Hardware cable" to the ACC and grounded it to a bolt under the dash.
Loving the NEO so far .... good for days and charges quickly (while hardwired).
The options are very confusing.
