I wish I hadn't missed this, I love it! Does anyone remember how much it cost when it was available?
Anyone know what board they're using?
I'd consider it without the horrible mods. Like many other keysets as of late, it's far too busy. It needs to choose one theme and stick to it.
My vote for next round: Only Hieroglyphics. No Roman. Sand toned keycaps with two tone dye to give a carved-into look.
which company will be made this keycaps?
Am I using CORSAIR K68 now and have it available on this keyboard?
Butba
Hopefully i understand your question the right way. All keycapsizes for your Corsair are given, except the spacebar, and you could use it.
Your 6.5u spacebar isn't given here and hard to get in any drop at all! You have to use your old one or get a 6.5u DCS spacebar here: https://pimpmykeyboard.com/dcs-spacebars-pack-of-1/ and (spray)paint it to your liking as a possible workaround.
Why are there 3u spacebars, but no 2u spacebars?
gigaflop
yeah it seems strange that they would do that
Not going to lie, this set looks like it was made by a really bad AI that scanned /r/mk for 20 seconds
janglad
True. Honestly, the colors look nice, but dear god, those special betas are ugly as sin.
Missing R4 (top row) PgDn for 1800, and it is unclear whether the 6U spacebar is off-centered or not. (1800 needs off-centered)
(dunno who invented the non-standard top-to-bottom numbering on custom keycap sets...)
I like an ANSI board with an AltGr key. Don't care for anything else about this. I mean do I really want to code QMK to write Unicode Hieroglyphics? No, not really. Don't see the point of Egyption keyboards anyway.
If we are going to source from kpreublic lets get that knock off muted for this price.
No Thoth key? This isnt Egyptian! Where is my emerald tablet.
Ugly 9009 with Ugly Egyptian legends aight nice oneeeeee
EnjoyMyInSec
Such a rip off. Makes no sense to me.
"Egyptian"... right, it's clearly the 9009 keyset. Anything to rip off other people's designs I guess.

Congratulations on browsing geekhack. This is just as silly as Taihao copying everything or everyone suddenly making Miami variants. It's the 9009 set with moonrunes on it. Don't kid yourself. It's aimed at those people who want to buy keysets with Hiragana on them in ANSI for "aesthetic" purposes despite a) not knowing a lick of the language and b) the keyset not even being nor supporting JIS.

You do realize this is the way every industry on earth works, right? Fashion, food, electronics. People borrow or just copy stuff from other innovators, maybe add some features, and drive prices down. It's good for consumers. Just look at the give and take of innovation and features between Apple, Samsung, and Google in the smartphone industry. Borrowing, adapting, adding, and competing on price. It's just how it works.
Some of these look great, but some I'm not so sure about. The left shift is a bit busy - would it not be better to just have the graphic?

"Hey mom, come see what I made with my 'Clippy's First Keyboard' programme!"
Couldn't agree more. This set is lame.
