So after this debacle of a discussion with Massdrop (see below, 6 weeks earlier), they decided to edit the item description without even posting about it.
They will just pretend like nobody joined this drop believing it would display a 1080p image, or that they were getting any discount from the usual price (the drop is the highest price I've seen this microscope anywere). The least they could have done is have a representative post something to clear things up.
I won't be purchasing from Massdrop anymore. This is appalling ...
By the way, the title is still misleading; the display is not even HD, which means 720p and up. It's 480p. The specs at the end also do not clarify that the resolution mentioned is only what the camera can save on the memory card, not what the screen can display. The way "Screen: 4.3" LCD" is just above "Resolution: 1080p, 720p, VGA" is highly misleading.

This isn't a good deal. A quick Google search returns prices that match or are cheaper than here.

Based on the picture, and the size of an actual penny, the magnification showed on the picture is 7x.
The font used on pennies is about 0.9mm tall.
The diagonal of the screen on the image is 245 pixels long. If that's 4.3", then then font on the screen, which is 15 pixels tall, is displayed as 6.7mm tall.
6.7 mm / 0.9mm = 7.4
At 600x, a 0.9mm letter would look half a meter tall (about 40"). This is clearly not the case.
Just so you have an idea of magnification, at about 200x, Lincoln's eye would take up all the screen. So would the letter "i" from "in God we trust" laid diagonally.
I also find it doubtful that the screen is OLED. A quick google search for the model number reveals a number of resellers carrying this product and the ones I looked at don't mention anything about OLED.

I own this microscope. It's not terrible, but you should know:
- It does NOT zoom to 600x (even though advertised as such) - It does NOT have a 1080p display (even though advertised as such) - At $79.99, you're paying MORE than the price it's always at on eBay ($55 with adjustable stand, $40 with basic stand) or pretty much anywhere selling it.
Getting more and more disappointed with Massdrop's prices and knowledgeability on what they sell.

Benjamin6264Hello, its Chris from Elecrow and also my pleasure to answer your concerns. ForQ1, The actual optical magnification of the lens is about 150 times. There are buttons on the display for digital software amplification. It can be adjusted, 1x, 2x, 4x. Press the left and right arrow keys to adjust, so the combined magnification is about 600 times. .(Digital magnification)

There is the video link for introduction: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nmvpbjakggbjqgl/%E6%89%8B%E6%9C%BAQQ%E8%A7%86%E9%A2%91_20180926175914.mp4?dl=0
For Q2:This is a description of the supported resolutions for taking photos and recording videos. Adjustments can be made by: MENU (press the menu button) >> OK (press OK to enter the first resolution adjustment) >> ← → Make selection (1080P, 720P, VGA for different picture and video resolution).

ElecrowHi Chris. Thanks for your detailed reply. However the main concern lies in the description on this drop, stating that the screen itself has a 1080p resolution, which is not the case. I also think that to claim a 150x zoom digitally increased to 600x is not the same as a 600x zoom, and that claim is pretty misleading.
